CUT. SEW. CREATE...
Welcome to SEWIN GREEN
The Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design® program has been teaching kids to sew since 1983. It is a complete curriculum that's nationally and internationally acclaimed. Thousands of kids have learned to sew with the Kids Can Sew® program. Sewin Green is licensed to teach this wonderful curriculum.
Located north of Charlotte in Mooresville, North Carolina, Sewin Green is dedicated to helping children learn the art of sewing. Sewin Green's owner and instructor, Cindy McAlpin is an Occupational Therapist and a licensed KIDS CAN SEW® instructor and has been working with children as well as teaching children to sew for many years.
The program, with its own sewing patterns and directions, is designed specifically for kids ages 6-12. The patterns and directions are filled with animated pictures and easy to read print that even the youngest reader will be able to follow. Each student will receive their own pattern packet, which is their text book, with an assortment of crafts and clothing projects. Project packs will take approximately 10 months to complete.
We keep our class size small, no more than 4 children per class. Students will learn to sew at their own pace in a creative and encouraging environment. Classes are appropriate for both boys and girls.
Sewin Green students learn to sew on new Project Runway® sewing machines created by Brother. There are 4 machines in the sewing room, one for each student to use.
